Our Registered Dietitians work collaboratively to provide optimal medical nutrition therapy and promote health and wellness across our patient populations. By designing comprehensive nutrition care plans and delivering evidence-based interventions, our dedicated clinical team proactively supports patients through their recovery journeys. Typical Day Responsibilities Performing comprehensive clinical nutrition assessments and timely nutrition screenings per established policies. Developing individualized nutrition care plans and monitoring patient response to prescribed medical nutrition therapy. Providing detailed inpatient discharge diet instructions and comprehensive counseling to patients and their family members. Collaborating directly with physicians, nursing staff, and pharmacists during multidisciplinary rounds to deliver high-quality nutrition care. Providing formal nutrition consultations as ordered by medical providers to address advanced nutrition support needs. Maintaining thorough, updated, and accurate documentation on clinical patient profile sheets and electronic health records. Ideal Candidate You are passionate about creating and delivering a differentiated healthcare experience through tailored clinical nutrition interventions. You keep yourself current in the clinical nutrition field by reading professional journals, attending lectures, and participating in dietetic organizations. You set a high bar for yourself and others to maintain safe, accurate, and culturally responsive nutrition standards for diverse patient populations. You recognize and respect the impact your counseling has on a patient's healthcare journey and how family involvement strengthens their care plan. You believe that clinical healing and medical nutrition therapy are optimized and enhanced through kindness, empathy, and active listening. Qualifications Education: Completion of an Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND) approved didactic program and an accredited internship. Credentialing: Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) status through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR), or official RD‑eligible status. Experience: Previous clinical experience within an acute care hospital or healthcare environment is highly preferred. Core Skills: Strong interpersonal communication skills, proficiency with nutrition tracking software, and the ability to interpret age‑specific patient data effectively. Special Requirements: Candidates must be fully comfortable working directly with behavioral health patients and must have full availability to work weekends as needed by the department.
