Landscaper

LandscaperThe Landscaper is responsible for maintaining the appearance, health, and safety of outdoor grounds and landscaped areas. This position performs a variety of landscaping and groundskeeping tasks including mowing, trimming, planting, irrigation maintenance, and seasonal cleanup to ensure properties remain attractive, functional, and compliant with company standards.Key ResponsibilitiesMow lawns, trim hedges, shrubs, and trees.Plant flowers, trees, shrubs, and other vegetation.Apply mulch, fertilizer, and soil amendments as needed.Remove weeds and maintain flower beds and landscaped areas.Operate landscaping equipment including lawnmowers, trimmers, edgers, blowers, and hedge cutters.Perform irrigation system inspections and minor repairs.Collect and remove debris, leaves, and litter from grounds.Assist with seasonal tasks such as snow removal, leaf cleanup, and planting projects.Follow safety procedures and properly maintain landscaping tools and equipment.Report equipment malfunctions, hazards, and maintenance needs to management.Ensure all work is completed according to quality and productivity standards.BenefitsMedical, dental, and vision insurance$100 to $150/month company HSA contributionDaily Pay option401(k) retirement planEmployer-paid life insurance (1x annual salary)Personal day benefitFlexible scheduling optionsCareer development and advancement opportunitiesRequired QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent preferred.Minimum 1 year of landscaping, groundskeeping, or related outdoor maintenance experience preferred.Knowledge of plants, lawn care practices, and landscaping techniques.Ability to safely operate landscaping equipment and tools.Valid driver's license preferred.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Physical RequirementsAbility to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds regularly.Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and humidity.Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the workday.Preferred QualificationsExperience with irrigation systems.Experience operating commercial landscaping equipment.Knowledge of plant identification and care.Pesticide or herbicide application certification (if required by state/local regulations).CompetenciesAttention to detailReliability and punctualityTeamwork and collaborationSafety awarenessTime managementStrong work ethicCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive hourly wageOvertime opportunities (where applicable)Health, dental, and vision insurancePaid time off and holidaysRetirement savings planTraining and career development opportunities
