Licenses/Certifications: LA State License, BLS, RPSGT or RRT-SDS

Experience: Minimum 1 year sleep technologist experience (no first-time travelers)

What You'll Do:

• Perform sleep studies for patients of all ages, including pediatrics and geriatrics
• Prepare patients with proper airway device fitting and explain procedures
• Monitor and troubleshoot sleep study equipment, ensuring accurate data collection
• Document baseline sleep parameters such as body position, movements, oxygen saturation, and respiratory rates
• Assist with basic patient care, including ambulation when needed
• Work independently or alongside a team, depending on census, with support available via phone or text
• Adhere to safety protocols, including proper electrode and monitor placement and troubleshooting

What You Need:

• Valid LA State License to practice as a Polysomnographic Technician
• BLS certification
• RPSGT or RRT-SDS credential preferred
• At least 1 year of sleep technologist experience; experience with sleep disorders such as sleep apnea, parasomnias, and related conditions
• Comfortable working with diverse patient populations, including pediatric and geriatric patients
• Tech-savvy with knowledge of sleep monitoring equipment and EMR systems (Meditech Expanse)
• Ability to work independently and troubleshoot equipment efficiently

About the Assignment: Join a leading facility in Bossier City, LA, providing outpatient sleep disorder evaluations across two units with a patient ratio of 1:2 (or 1:1 for children under 6). The unit conducts comprehensive sleep studies, including PAP device fitting, therapeutic interventions, and patient education. The schedule involves every other weekend rotation, no holidays, and shifts are from 1845 to 0715.
