Technical Solutions Analyst - Java/SQL

Salary: $80,000 - 90,000 per year Requirements:

• Experience troubleshooting complex software applications.
• Ability to read and interpret Java code.

• Working knowledge of SQL for troubleshooting and data validation.

• Confidence communicating directly with customers, Customer Support, and software developers.
• Experience with Java, SQL Server, Jira, GitHub, Confluence, REST APIs, JSON, XML, and ERP or business management software is a plus.
• Backgrounds in Application Support Engineering, Technical Support Engineering, Technical Systems Analysis, Software Support Engineering, or Software QA with strong troubleshooting experience are welcome.
• Willingness to travel 25%.
• Ability to travel to the Raleigh-Durham area on relatively short notice when needed.
• U.S. work authorization status and potential need for employer sponsorship may be considered.

• Own complex technical investigations from the initial report through resolution.
• Work with Customer Support to understand the issue and the underlying business problem.
• Decide whether an issue should be handled by Customer Support or escalated to Development, and push back when the evidence does not support escalation.
• Reproduce issues in test environments and step through Java code using debugging tools.
• Use SQL to investigate data and confirm application behavior.
• Identify root causes and develop meaningful test cases to validate findings.
• Write clear, well-researched Jira tickets so Development can begin work with confidence.
• Collaborate directly with developers to validate findings and answer technical questions.
• Join customer meetings to investigate complex issues, explain application behavior, gather requirements, and discuss future enhancements.
• Translate technical concepts into clear language for customers and non-technical teammates.
• Help Customer Support strengthen its technical troubleshooting skills.
• Stay involved through resolution to ensure the correct outcome is reached.

We are seeking a highly technical problem solver who can bridge Customer Support, Development, and our customers. This is not a software development role and does not involve writing production code; instead, we rely on your technical expertise to investigate complex software issues, identify root causes, and document findings clearly. We offer a primarily remote position with occasional travel for team collaboration, training, and customer visits, especially during onboarding. We welcome candidates across the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast, including the Washington, DC area, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia. Compensation is a base salary of $80,000–$90,000 depending on experience and technical skills, and our benefits include company-paid employee health insurance, dental coverage, paid time off, and a year-end profit-sharing bonus. The work location is hybrid remote in Raleigh, NC.
