Employee Benefits/Exec Compensation Counsel (work/life balance)

About the Role
Prestigious national law firm is seeing an experienced Employee Benefits/Exec Compensation Counsel to join their team in the Chicago office. Can also be located in NY, SF, Miami, Dallas, Houston, Charlotte or DC. This is a non-partnership track role. 1800 billable requirement. Work/life balance. Must be licensed in the state you live in. Can be fully remote, partially remote or hybrid. Open to law firm, government or in-house experience.
This is a client-facing role focused on independently managing routine matters and providing practical legal guidance. No business development or practice growth responsibilities!!
Responsibilities
- Independently managing routine matters.
- Providing practical legal guidance.
- Advising clients on day-to-day employee benefits matters.
- Advising on ERISA compliance.
- Advising on retirement and welfare plans.
- Advising on fiduciary responsibilities.
Required Skills
- At least 8 -10 years of experience advising clients on day-to-day employee benefits matters, including ERISA compliance, retirement and welfare plans, and fiduciary responsibilities.
