Plant Supervisor 1st Shift

1st Shift Plant Supervisor Day Shift Supervisor Needed. Working hours are: 5a - 1:30p (or until complete) and must be available to cover 2nd Shift as needed (2p - 10:30p) or any combination. Previous Production Supervisory experience highly recommended. Qualified Candidate will start between $63,700 - $68,000 pending experience. Key Job Activities Selects, trains, and develops a safe, effective, and efficient staff. Ensures the plant meets regulatory and safety compliance measures and operates in a productive and profitable manner. Maintains overall cost control of the plant. Ensures continuous improvement of productivity standards and worker safety performance in all phases of the operation. Interfaces proactively with personnel to achieve business goals. Maintains a high level of customer satisfaction, either internally or externally. Initiates actions to assure the timely resolution of identified hazards or unsafe conditions or practices. Provides training of all new plant and monthly training of current plant personnel. Performs periodic facility audits, and reviews all applicable regulatory paperwork, e.g., biological testing, WW testing, etc. Provides for equipment maintenance and troubleshooting when necessary.Performs other duties and responsibilities, as assigned. Education Required education: Associate’s degree or equivalent. Experience Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent. 3+ years of experience, 1+ years managing staff, preferably in a plant or manufacturing environment. Identifies major activities of, and services provided by, the operations function. Locates and interprets standard and management reports on plant activities. Describes characteristics of a well‑run manufacturing plant. Knowledge of barcode scanning and basic computer skills. Knowledge of Hazardous Materials and OSHA Regulations. Ability to operate a powered industrial truck, e.g., forklift. Ability to perform functions safely, productively, and according to policies & procedures.
