In this rewarding role, you will play an integral part in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care by supporting providers, performing point-of-care testing, collecting and processing specimens, conducting routine testing such as urinalysis and specimen swabs, and assisting with patient care activities. Join a fast-paced, collaborative team committed to providing exceptional patient care and creating a positive experience for every patient. **Clinic Hours:** Monday through Friday | 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM | Day Shift (Occasional 7:00am start times required) **Overview**Perform patient phlebotomy while maintaining the highest level of customer service. Collects, labels, and processes patient specimens for testing. Responsible for registration and test data entry. Monitors supply levels. Operates and maintains laboratory equipment. Responsible for both internal and external customer inquiries and problem resolution. Frequently interacts with hospital and physician office staff. May perform EKG and glucose meter. Maybe at the patient's bedside.**Experience**• Physician practice, outpatient clinic, or laboratory setting is preferred•Experience performing Phlebotomy, point-of-care testing, specimen collection, and processing is preferred**Education**• High School Graduate or Equivalent is required**Certification/Licensure**• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire **Sentara Medical Group**Sentara Medical Group consists of over 300 practices throughout Hampton Roads, Northern Virginia and Northeastern North Carolina.
