GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION

Assist in grinder pump service calls, rebuild grinder pumps and everything pertaining to grinder pump repair and maintenance.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Works safely and points out safety hazards on job sites and the shop.

• Responds to Grinder Pump alarm calls between the hours of 7:00am – 3:00pm.

• Troubleshoots grinder pump issues and determines appropriate action needed to restore sewer service.

• Performs minor electrical and plumbing work in a safe and efficient manner.

• Troubleshoots, repairs, and rebuilds grinder pumps for return to service.

• Assists others with repairs to breaks in sewer lines.

• Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High School or GED, some college preferred

• 1 – 5 years previous electrical and or mechanical experience preferred.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

REQUIRED LICENSES AND/OR CERTIFICATES

• Valid TN Driver’s License, CDL a plus

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Walking and standing for extended periods of time.

• Must be able to lift 40 pounds at a time (more with assistance)
