Pride Health is hiring a Phlebotomist to support our client's healthcare facility in Lake Success, NY . 

Job Details: 
Schedule: 7:30 am-6:00pm Mon-Fri 
Location: Lake Success, NY  
Float / Coverage Area:  Syosset NY, Bethpage NY
Job Type: Contract
Contract Length: 9+ months (possibility of extension)
Pay Range: $21.00 to $23.40/hour*
*Pay offered is based on experience, expertise, credentialing, and education.  

Duties: 

• Perform routine pediatric and adult phlebotomy, including venipuncture and finger-stick collections, while following proper order-of-draw procedures.
• Accurately verify patient information using two identifiers, process specimens, and navigate the laboratory computer/LIS system with minimal errors.
• Maintain infection control, safety, PPE, aseptic technique, and proper hazardous-material disposal standards while providing effective patient communication.
• Handle 4–6+ patients per hour, troubleshoot LIS issues, collaborate with clinical staff, and travel to other draw stations as needed.

Requirements: 

• Education: High School or GED required
• Certification(s):  Phlebotomy certification 
• Years of experience: 1 year of phlebotomy experience
