Mental Health Therapist

Job Overview Health, Counseling, and Disability Access Services seeks an experienced mental health therapist to work with a student population presenting with a wide range of clinical needs and to contribute to the ongoing enhancement of services for all students. Responsibilities Provide individual and group counseling/therapy. Participate in outreach, access coordination, and community engagement. Perform crisis intervention, consultation, and potential supervision of clinical graduate interns. Lead, develop, and promote group therapy offerings. Qualifications Master’s degree in psychology, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or social work and relevant licensure (or eligible to be licensed within 12 months) within the State of Missouri. Post‑degree experience in providing mental health treatment and experience promoting, developing, and maintaining group therapy. University counseling center experience. Desirable skills include interest and experience in utilizing a brief therapy model, crisis intervention, hospitalization experience, and work with more complex cases.
