Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Oncology Infusion Clinic position requiring ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certification and a compact or Oklahoma RN license.

Details

• Outpatient oncology infusion clinic setting
• Adult patient population receiving chemotherapy and infusion treatments
• Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 7am-5pm
• 10-hour shifts, 4 days per week, 40 hours weekly
• No weekends and no holidays required

Requirements

• Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or current multistate compact RN license (eNLC)
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Current ACLS certification from AHA
• Fundamentals of Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Administration certificate from the Oncology Nursing Society (ONS)
• ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate required
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required, BSN preferred
• Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Additional Information

• Administer chemotherapy drugs, PO and SC injections, and other medications as ordered by physicians
• Initiate, regulate, and monitor IV infusions and blood products
• Assist physicians during conscious sedation and minor diagnostic procedures
• Obtain and monitor physiological patient data and intervene as needed
• Provide chemotherapy-related patient and family education
• Coordinate patient follow-up care including referrals and post-visit phone calls
• Document patient responses to nursing interventions and treatment changes
• Delegate tasks to support staff as needed
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for this position
• Returning workers may only extend contracts one time for a total of 26 weeks, with a required 6-month separation before reapplying
• Compliance documentation must be completed promptly, as start dates will not be pushed once booked
