Job Title: Financial Analyst - Commercial Aftermarket Reporting To: Sr. Finance Director — Commercial OEM Work Schedule: Onsite – Buffalo, NY Moog in East Aurora, New York is looking for a Financial Analyst who will support the Commercial Aftermarket business through financial analysis, reporting, forecasting, and business insights that enable informed decision-making. To be considered for the Financial Analyst role, here's typically what you will need to bring with you: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related business discipline. Minimum of three (3) years of experience in finance, accounting, financial planning & analysis (FP&A), auditing, or a related analytical role. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, financial modeling, and data analysis. Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret large volumes of data and identify meaningful insights. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively present financial information to diverse audiences. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. High level of attention to detail, accuracy, and financial acumen. Ability to work collaboratively across functions and build effective working relationships. Experience with Power BI or other business intelligence tools preferred. CPA or MBA preferred. As a Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for the following: Support the Commercial Aftermarket business by providing financial analysis, reporting, and recommendations that help drive business performance. Partner with functional teams to understand business drivers, operational performance, and financial results. Assist with the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process, including journal entry preparation, account analysis, reporting, and reconciliations. Collect, validate, and analyze financial and operational data to prepare monthly and quarterly management reports. Perform variance analysis against prior periods, forecasts, plans, and budgets, identifying key drivers and trends. Support the forecasting and budgeting processes through analysis, financial modeling, and scenario evaluation. Maintain and enhance standard reporting tools, dashboards, and performance metrics to improve visibility into business performance. Assist in the development and monitoring of key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics. Support ad hoc financial analyses, special projects, business cases, and profitability assessments. Collaborate with finance and cross-functional teams to improve reporting processes, data quality, and financial controls. Prepare presentations and summaries that clearly communicate financial results, trends, risks, and opportunities to management. Proactively identify opportunities to streamline reporting, eliminate manual processes, and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of financial analysis. Salary Range Transparency: Buffalo, NY $75,000.00–$95,000.00 Annually Salary Range Disclaimer The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location.
