We are seeking a dependable, organized, and caring professional who excels at communication, leadership, and relationship-building.The Shift Lead is responsible for providing leadership and guidance to Behavioral Health Technicians while supporting the daily operations of a residential treatment program. This role helps ensure a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment for clients, facilitates programming and educational activities, assists with staff development and scheduling, and collaborates closely with the treatment team to support positive client outcomes.Key Responsibilities:Lead and provide guidance, coaching, and support to Behavioral Health Technicians during assigned shiftsFoster a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment that promotes client growth and recoveryMonitor daily client activities and communicate relevant observations and behavioral concerns to the treatment teamAssist with staff training, orientation, and ongoing development of Behavioral Health TechniciansFacilitate educational, recreational, and therapeutic groups as assignedHelp coordinate staffing coverage and assist with scheduling needsPrepare and organize educational materials and program resourcesSupport effective crisis intervention and de-escalation efforts in collaboration with program leadershipEnsure documentation is completed accurately and in accordance with regulatory and program standardsConduct performance evaluations for direct reports and provide ongoing feedbackPerform direct care duties and support clients in meeting treatment goalsComplete additional duties and projects as assigned by program leadershipEducation, Experience, and/or Credential Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Psychiatric Nursing, or a closely related field; ORHigh school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of two (2) years of responsible employment historyExperience in Human Services or a related field preferredFor St. Louis County programs: Bachelor's degree or MAADC I/II credential requiredExceptions to listed qualifications may be approved by the appropriate Executive Team memberAdditional Qualifications:Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age to operate a company-owned vehicleMust be at least twenty-three (23) years of age to operate a company-owned fifteen (15) passenger vanValid driver's license in state of residence with an acceptable driving record requiredSuccessful completion of criminal background, driving record, and abuse/neglect screenings requiredMust obtain First Aid certification within three (3) months of employment and maintain certification thereafterMust obtain CPR certification within three (3) months of employment and maintain certification thereafterMust complete Behavioral Management training within thirty (30) days of employment or the first available class after start dateMust complete required ongoing annual and regulatory training requirementsMust demonstrate leadership abilities and the ability to mentor, coach, and support direct care staffAbility to establish rapport with clients while maintaining professional boundariesStrong multitasking, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skillsBasic computer proficiency and ability to document within electronic medical records systemsFor Residential Care Facility (RCF): Must attain Level 1 Med Aid (LIMA) and Insulin Certification within ninety (90) days of employmentPhysical Requirements:Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods throughout the workdayAbility to walk and climb stairs as neededFrequent kneeling, crouching, bending, and stooping may be requiredAbility to use hands and fingers for writing, typing, filing, and operating office equipmentAbility to communicate effectively in person and by telephoneAbility to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds on an occasional basisAbility to maintain close visual focus and adjust focus as neededFor Residential Care Facility (RCF) programs, must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 poundsBrightli is on a Mission: At Brightli, our mission is to change and save lives through compassionate care, meaningful connections, and high-quality behavioral health services.
