Initial placement within the salary range is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills, and experience. Responsibilities Adheres to all departmental and property policies and procedures regarding guest service standards. Massages guests using accepted techniques and rubbing compounds. Monitors exercise equipment, tanning booths, and surrounding pool area to ensure that the facility is used properly. Greets guests and offers instruction and assistance with exercise equipment, tanning booths, and pool facilities. Follows all safety procedures; immediately notifies Security and supervisor of accidents and potential safety hazards. Collects fees for health club, Spa services, and sundry items and maintains security of receipts. Books massage and tanning reservations. Maintains adequate supply of towels and sundry items; monitors inventory and notifies manager when additional supplies are needed. Ensures exercise equipment is maintained in a clean and attractive manner. Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned. Maintains strict confidentiality in all company matters. Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent preferred; valid Massage Technician License required. Must have familiarity with Swedish massage techniques. Must possess excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills; must be fluent and literate in English. Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism. Knowledge of fitness, exercise equipment, and spa facilities preferred. Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization. Ability to maintain a high level of energy and take a proactive and strategic approach to dealing with issues.
