Job Summary

The Clinical Nurse II (RN) provides safe, high-quality, patient- and family-centered care using evidence-based nursing practices. The nurse independently manages patient care, collaborates with the interdisciplinary healthcare team, and supports patient safety, care coordination, and quality improvement.

Location: Palo Alto, CA 94304

Hours Per Week : 40.00

Schedule Notes : 12 weeks Monday- Friday (scheduled between 8:00am to 5:00pm)

Days Per Week : 5.00

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care.
• Provide obstetric nursing care, patient education, and age-appropriate support.
• Monitor patient conditions, recognize clinical changes, and escalate concerns appropriately.
• Collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team to coordinate care and improve outcomes.
• Promote patient safety, infection prevention, and compliance with clinical standards.
• Maintain accurate electronic health records and use clinical equipment effectively.
• Support evidence-based practice and continuous quality improvement.

Required Qualifications

• BSN required.
• Minimum 3 years of OB nursing experience.
• Proficiency in clinical equipment, computers, and healthcare technology.
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and critical-thinking skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Labor & Delivery (L&D) experience.
• OB triage experience.
• Ambulatory nursing experience.

Required Certifications & Licensure:

• Current California RN License.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Certification for Basic Life Support (BLS)
