Quality Control Lead 1st Shift

RJW Logistics Group is hiring a Quality & Compliance Lead to oversee the quality department, develop training programs, and maintain compliance with warehouse standards to reduce inbound defects and improve efficiencies. Job Purpose The role is critical in training, quality assurance, and continuous improvement, ensuring consistency across all hourly Quality Inspectors and driving awareness of retailer standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Train and develop new Quality Inspectors. Ensure consistency of Quality Inspector performance and provide candid feedback. Provide daily support and resources to hourly employees. Perform inbound customer inspections for case, pallet, and load quality. Lead cross‑training initiatives and departmental projects. Promote adherence to retailer standards and drive process improvements. Lead and motivate a team with respect and accountability. Additional Responsibilities Hourly introductory leadership role with direct reports. Shift + Pay A Shift: Sun‑Wed, 5:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m. – $21.00 per hour B Shift: Wed‑Sat, 5:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m. – $21.00 per hour Qualifications Read and interpret safety, operating, and procedure documents. Strong oral, written, and reporting communication skills. Compliance with inventory processes and contractual obligations. Physical capability to count and validate inventory; use of a scan gun. Education and/or Experience Required High School Diploma or GED. Experience in safety and procedure document review. Hands‑on inspection and inventory counting skills. Forklift certification a plus. Computer Skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of RJW WMS is preferred. Physical Demands Regular talking and hearing. Frequent standing, walking, handling, and reaching.
