Description

American Traveler is hiring a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant for a school-based pediatric assignment in Redding, CA, open to new graduates.

Details

• School-based pediatric occupational therapy assignment serving multiple school sites in Trinity and Shasta counties
• Day shift, Monday through Friday, 8-hour shifts (8:00 AM to 5:00 PM)
• 40 hours per week
• Pediatric and school-aged client population
• Job duties include schedule planning, evaluation, and treatment program design and implementation

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required
• Active California Occupational Therapy license required if applicable
• Valid driver's license required
• NBCOT certification preferred
• No prior experience required; new graduates accepted
• Experience with pediatric populations, activities of daily living, autism, early intervention, handwriting, learning disabilities, neurodevelopmental treatment, sensory diet programs, sensory integrative testing/treatment, and visual perceptual skills testing/treatment preferred

Additional Information

• Therapist will travel between multiple school sites within Trinity and Shasta counties
• Mileage and travel time reimbursed
• Position based out of the Redding office
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate
• Preference for candidates available for the entire school year, though shorter assignments are possible
• First-time travelers will be considered
