About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President, Global Engineering to oversee the day-to-day operations of the engineering organization, ensuring the quality, content, and continuity of all technical work. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading all engineering and product development activities, including QA, and must have a strong background in software engineering with experience in both on-premise and SaaS environments. Key responsibilities include managing the engineering operations to meet approved budgets, transitioning from waterfall to agile development, and ensuring that engineering positions are properly staffed and certified engineers are assigned to projects. The role also involves training and appraising personnel, as well as developing strong client relationships at the highest levels. Applicants for the Vice President, Global Engineering position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, with a Master's degree preferred, and at least 10 years of related engineering experience in a software business. The role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to manage and direct the work of professional employees, and a strong understanding of financial management. A working knowledge of health, safety, quality, and environmental management systems is also necessary. The Vice President will report to the CEO or the CPTO, depending on experience level, and will have direct reports within the software development and quality assurance teams.
