Nurse Practitioner, Float Pool

Position Summary
We seek an Advanced Practice Nurse to work within our Float Pool, providing expert patient care across inpatient medical-surgical, critical care, or hybrid settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive history and physical exams, interpret findings, and diagnose common clinical issues.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate treatment plans collaboratively with the healthcare team.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, communicate results, and participate in discharge planning.
- Document orders, prescriptions, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
- Engage in daily rounds, interdisciplinary conferences, patient education, and counseling.
- Perform selected diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and participate in teaching activities.
- Maintain clinical competency through ongoing education and professional development.
- Collaborate effectively with team members, communicate clearly, and utilize resources appropriately.
Qualifications & Skills
- Master of Science in Nursing
- 1-3 years of Nurse Practitioner experience preferred, pediatric experience a plus
- Current Massachusetts NP license
- Certification as a Pediatric or Family Nurse Practitioner
This role involves working a flexible 36-hour week with day/night rotations, every third weekend, and no holiday requirements.
