RN - PCU

Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse

This is a 13-week contract position.

Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 07:00 AM to 07:30 PM with weekend and holiday rotation. No call required.

We are seeking an experienced Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse to join our high-level, high-functioning team. The PCU manages patients with complex medical needs and telemetric monitoring while maintaining a patient ratio of 1:5. Candidates should be comfortable with the management of long-term patients and the responsibilities required in a progressive care setting.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and interpret dysrhythmias and manage cardiac telemetry.
• Provide peripheral line care and management, including PICC line management.
• Titrate drips for cardiac and vasoactive medications as necessary.
• Ensure all patients receive comprehensive, high-quality care through multidisciplinary collaboration.
• Participate in floating to different campuses as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in a progressive care or telemetry environment.
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIH certifications are required.
• Cardiac tele experience is essential.
• Experience with medication titration and IV management.
