Human Resources Generalist

Location: Remote (must work 8:00 AM–5:00 PM CST) Type: Contract – $25.00–$29.00/hour Duration: October 1, 2026 – April 30, 2027 10 openings About the Role Our client, a major financial services firm, is adding 10 HR Generalists to support their HR First Response team through a company-wide HCM system transition (PeopleSoft to Oracle). You'll be the first point of contact for employees with HR questions — answering calls and emails, creating and managing tickets in ServiceNow, and resolving issues end to end. This work is consultative rather than administrative. Inquiries range from straightforward to complex, and you'll be trained on both the current and incoming HCM systems. Responsibilities Respond to employee emails and calls regarding a wide range of HR questions Create, track, and resolve tickets in ServiceNow, ensuring appropriate follow-up Handle inquiries including: Performance management concerns Employee lifecycle changes (e.g., part-time to full-time status changes) Compensation consultations — discussing pay, understanding flexibility in compensation changes, and explaining the firm's overall compensation philosophy Benefits and payroll deduction questions Complete training on both the current (PeopleSoft) and new (Oracle) HCM processes Requirements HR-related experience Strong written and verbal communication skills — this role is phone- and email-heavy Strong judgment and comfort making quick decisions Ability to work 8:00 AM–5:00 PM CST Preferred Background in customer service or contact center environments — candidates with fast-paced phone support experience tend to do very well in this role Experience with ServiceNow or a similar platform (Salesforce, Workday, etc.) Associate's or Bachelor's degree PHR certification What Success Looks Like Success in this role is measured by availability and responsiveness — handling calls and inquiries efficiently with professionalism and empathy, and resolving cases accurately and on time.
