Performs case review of felony or misdemeanor filings to ensure all discovery is received from submitting law enforcement agency. Works with and manages various forms of confidential information governed by state and federal law.

Generally, the hiring range is $41,711-$52,139 annually. Qualifications, education and experience as it relates to the position will be taken into consideration when determining hiring salary.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Reviews and examines digital case files for discovery purposes; works closely with law enforcement agencies to ensure the timely receipt of all discovery; procures necessary media and/or reports, monitors appropriate discovery deadlines to ensure timely completion of affected case.
• Collaborates with attorneys, law enforcement personnel, paralegals and legal assistants on discovery matters; logs requests, copies/scans and reviews and organizes discovery files to ensure that files are complete. Utilizes resources to research, investigate, and contact necessary parties to identify discovery requiring additional follow-up.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school graduation or GED equivalent.
• One (1) year of general office experience (One (1) year of experience working in legal or law enforcement setting preferred).

Certifications, Licenses, & Registrations:

• Must possess a valid Colorado Driver's License upon hire, with complying insurance. Review of motor vehicle record is required at time of hire and periodically throughout employment.
• This position requires successful completion of a criminal background check including fingerprinting through a national database.

In the event of an emergency/disaster in or near the County, all County employees are expected to make every effort to be available to assist the County Manager, Elected/Appointed Officials and Department Directors to ensure the continued operation of any and all necessary County functions. This may mean being available to perform additional duties and hours beyond what is normally required. In the event that an exempt employee does work more than 40 hours a week in support of County operations during an emergency, such employee may receive overtime or other appropriate wage compensation in accordance with existing County policies or at the discretion of the County.
