About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President, Privacy to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive privacy strategies that align with business goals, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of global privacy regulations and frameworks, as well as proven leadership experience in building and scaling privacy programs. The Vice President, Privacy will work closely with the legal department, compliance, technology, the people team, marketing, and executive leadership to ensure that privacy is embedded in the company's business strategy and operations. Key responsibilities for the Vice President, Privacy include defining and executing privacy governance, ensuring compliance with global privacy laws, and leading privacy risk assessments. The role also involves developing and enforcing privacy policies, standards, and data-handling procedures, as well as overseeing data protection operations and incident response. The ideal candidate will have a J.D. from an accredited law school, with certifications such as CIPP/E, CIPP/US, CIPM, CIPT, or equivalent being highly preferred. Strong communication, leadership, and executive presence are essential, as is the ability to influence at all levels and to work effectively in a cross-functional, collaborative environment.
