Addiction Counselor

We are seeking a Substance Abuse Counselor to work with a very well respected Community Mental Health Center in the Gary, Indiana area. The Counselor will be responsible for providing addiction counseling, education and support to individuals, families under the direction of the Director of Clinical Services. The Substance Abuse Counselor would be part of an integrated team of Physicians, Providers and Therapists and will work on an out-patient setting. The Therapist will work a 4|10 schedule with three days working until 8:00pm with no weekends or on-call responsibilities. The candidate would also receive competitive compensation, including a base salary of $52,000-60,000 (Depending Upon Experience) with a comprehensive benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision, LTD,. STD, 401K with Match, CEUs, Generous PTO and Holiday time off. The candidate is also eligible for student loan repayment through the National Health Service Corp program with would provide for up to $25,000 per year paid to the candidate's student loan dept. Position Overview and Requirements:

Provides counseling and support to individuals and families struggling with substance abuse and|or addiction. This may include confidential individual, family or group counseling educating about the causes and effects of addictions.


Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Mental Health Counseling, or any Master's degree with LCAC or LMHC.
