Operations Supervisor (3rd Shift)

Responsibilities What You’ll Do Plan, schedule, and optimize freight movement for maximum efficiency Track performance metrics and improve service center operations Review reports and collaborate with your team to keep everything on track Coordinate freight appointments and ensure smooth delivery flow Assist with billing, rating, manifesting, and freight analysis Build strong communication with customers and internal teams Help train, develop, and evaluate team members Support hiring and onboarding alongside the Service Center Manager Maintain a safe, secure, and well‑run facility Investigate incidents and help implement corrective actions Ensure compliance with safety regulations (DOT, OSHA, EPA, ICC) Lead team meetings and keep everyone aligned Take on special projects and keep operations moving forward It is every employee’s duty to participate in the company’s goal of satisfying our customers economically. Qualifications What You Bring Knowledge of the LTL / transportation industry Experience managing drivers and dockworkers Familiarity with the local geographic area Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills Must be 18+ and legally eligible to work in the U.S. Fluent in English Physical Demands This position requires the ability to perform a combination of administrative and operational duties in an office and dock environment. Duties may include standing and walking for extended periods, pushing or pulling equipment, operating material‑handling equipment, and occasionally assisting with physical dock tasks such as handling freight and related materials.
