OPEN POSITIONS

1. SURFACING DEPARTMENT TECHNICIAN

Digital Surfacing / Blocking / Generator / Polish

Responsibilities include:

• Digital job setup and processing
• Taping and blocking lenses
• Operating surfacing generators
• Lens polishing
• Deblocking and backside coating
• Maintaining quality and production standards
• Troubleshooting production issues

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude
• Detail-oriented mindset
• Manufacturing or optical experience preferred
• Dependable and team-oriented
• Ability to learn advanced lab systems

Compensation

• Entry Level: $14–16/hour
• Experienced Surfacing Technician: $18–26/hour
• Advanced Surfacing Lead: $26+/hour

2. BENCH / FINISH DEPARTMENT TECHNICIAN

MEI Edger / Lens Mounting / Final Inspection

Responsibilities include:

• Operating MEI Trend edging systems
• Cutting and shaping lenses
• Mounting lenses into frames
• Performing final quality inspections
• Handling rimless and drill mount work
• Maintaining cosmetic quality standards

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail
• Good hand skills
• Optical lab experience preferred
• Mechanical and technical aptitude
• Ability to work efficiently under deadlines

Compensation

• Entry Level: $15–17/hour
• Experienced Finish Technician: $20–28/hour
• Advanced MEI Operator / Lead: $31+/hour

3. A/R COATING LAB TECHNICIAN

Anti-Reflective Coating / Vacuum Chamber Operations

Responsibilities include:

• Operating A/R coating equipment
• Lens cleaning and preparation
• Chamber setup and maintenance
• Monitoring coating cycles
• Maintaining strict cleanliness standards
• Identifying and troubleshooting coating defects

Qualifications

• Extremely detail-oriented
• Strong technical aptitude
• Manufacturing experience preferred
• Ability to learn advanced coating systems
• Stable work history and dependability

Compensation

• Entry Level: $16–18/hour
• Experienced Coating Technician: $24–32/hour
• Advanced Coating Specialist: $36+/hour
