Highway Maintenance Technician Local CDLRoy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. is currently seeking a full-time Highway Maintenance Technician with a CDL-A to perform maintenance operations in the Savannah, GA area. This position requires performing a variety of tasks related to roadway maintenance and adherence to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Jorgensen Company policies and procedures. Clean driving record is essential Must pass criminal background check Required Experience:CDL (Class A)Heavy Equipment experienceMinimum 1 year of related experiencePreferred Skills/Experience:Roadway maintenance or construction skillsMOT CertificationsQualifications:Must have transportation to and from Company officeAbility to take directionProduce quality work in an efficient mannerAgree to comply with all of our safety processes and proceduresWillingness to maintain and operate construction tools in a safe and proper mannerMaintain company standards for background checks (i.e. criminal record, driving record and controlled substance/drug testing)Knowledge of local driving rules and regulationsCarry out simple arithmetic functionsMaintain proper safety equipment required for each jobKnowledge and ability to adapt to the latest technologyAbility to use smart phone and applicationsAbility to adjust to changing work schedule, work overtime, nights and weekendsAbility to work safely under ranging environmental and weather conditionsCapable of lifting up to 50 pounds; strenuous manual labor may be requiredAbility to operate hand/power toolsSchedule: Full time; must be flexible and willing to work on-call and overtime as needed.
