Senior Database Administrator

Business Technology Integrators (BTI) is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) with more than 25 years of experience delivering innovative and reliable IT and engineering solutions to the Federal Government. BTI supports mission-critical programs across defense and civilian agencies, with core expertise in cybersecurity, program management, enterprise IT, and technical oversight services. BTI is currently searching for a Senior Database Administrator to fulfill the roles and responsibilities below: Roles and Responsibilities The DBA will design & develop robust and scalable data architecture that supports data transfers, storage, transformation, and reporting requirements. Work with Business Analysts, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), system owners, customers, and end-users to understand their mission, current architecture, security requirements and deliverables. Create and maintain data models that facilitate efficient data transfer and storage, ensuring data quality and integrity. Manage and optimize database systems, including monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting to ensure high availability and performance. Collaborate with external agencies to establish data transfer processes, APIs, and integration points, ensuring secure and efficient data flow. Implement data security measures, access controls, and encryption to protect sensitive information during data transfers and storage. Continuously monitor and optimize data pipelines and databases for improved efficiency and reduced latency. Maintain comprehensive documentation of data architecture, integration processes, and database configurations. Ensure data compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations, such as NIST, FIPS, HIPAA, or others as applicable. Experience/Qualifications Undergraduate college degree from an accredited college or university in computer science, information systems management, information technology, or other discipline related to the requirements of this project, or equivalent experience At least 8 years of progressively responsible IT experience, which includes at least five years of experience performing data modeling, data architect, and database administration duties. Experience with data masking and data encryption of personal and financial information in such a manner that it would comply with Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Publication 1075 and its encryption requirements Experience designing and implementing data architecture solutions Experience with database management and administration systems such as MySQL, SQL Server, or Oracle Experience with and in-depth knowledge of data modeling and data warehousing concepts Experience developing and implementing Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) processes to gather and load data obtained from external sources Experience with data integration tools and technologies Hands-on experience with data manipulation and query optimization Experience creating system design documents and other documentation related to data architecture, data modeling, and data warehousing #J-18808-Ljbffr BTI Services
