Assistant ManagerAt Bigham's Smokehouse, we believe great restaurants are built by leaders who serve others, pursue excellence, and develop the people around them. As an Assistant Manager, you'll work alongside the General Manager and upper management team to ensure every guest receives an exceptional experience while helping build a culture where employees thrive.

This role is more than managing shiftsit's about taking ownership. You'll help oversee daily operations, support company initiatives, develop future leaders, and ensure our standards are consistently upheld. You understand that leadership means serving your team, creating accountability with respect, and stepping in wherever you're needed to help the restaurant succeed.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the General Manager to execute daily operations and achieve restaurant goals.

• Lead by example while creating a positive, productive, and accountable work environment.

• Coach, mentor, and develop Team Leaders and crew members into stronger leaders.

• Ensure every guest receives exceptional hospitality and a consistent dining experience.

• Support hiring, onboarding, training, and performance coaching.

• Maintain high standards of food quality, cleanliness, food safety, and operational excellence.

• Assist with scheduling, inventory management, labor control, ordering, and restaurant systems.

• Help implement company initiatives, operational improvements, and upper management directives.

• Address guest concerns professionally while protecting the reputation of the Bigham's brand.

• Step confidently into any position within the restaurant to support the team's success.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant leadership experience required; management experience preferred.

• Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop others.

• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Comfortable making decisions in a fast-paced environment.

• High level of personal accountability and professionalism.

• Committed to consistency, excellence, service, and loyalty.

• Able to prioritize multiple responsibilities while maintaining attention to detail.

• Manager Food Safety Certification (or ability to obtain certification).

• Able to stand for extended periods and lift, carry, or move up to 50 pounds.

• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
