Location: Montana Mental Health Nursing Care Center - Lewistown, MT

Shifts: Day, Evening/Night Shifts, and Weekends

About Montana Mental Health Nursing Care Center

• Licensed residential facility operated by the Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS)
• Provides care for individuals who cannot benefit from intensive psychiatric treatment at Montana State Hospital but require structured long-term support
• Medium-sized facility with approximately 117 beds, serving residents with diverse mental health and medical needs

Position Details

Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

Employment Type: Full-time

Shift: Flexible scheduling with opportunities for day, evening, and night shifts

Hours: 36-40 hours per week, with overtime opportunities

Compensation: Competitive hourly wage with state benefits

Responsibilities

• Provide direct resident care including assistance with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, feeding, mobility support)
• Monitor and report changes in residents' physical or mental health to nursing staff
• Support residents with mental health needs in a safe, respectful, and therapeutic environment
• Assist with documentation of care provided and maintain accurate records
• Collaborate with RNs, LPNs, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
• Promote dignity, independence, and well-being of residents

Qualifications

• Current Montana CNA certification (or eligibility to obtain)
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Compassionate, patient, and reliable
• Experience in mental health or long-term care settings preferred, but not required
