This position involves more than just posting content; it focuses on building brand awareness, driving engagement, generating leads, fostering customer loyalty, and using data-driven insights to optimize social media strategies for both Chaparral and Robalo boat brands. The Social Media Specialist will develop strategies to tell our brand stories across various platforms, including LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube. They will create engaging content and manage campaigns. This role also includes engaging with our online community, supporting virtual events, and using social listening tools to monitor brand perception. The ideal candidate is creative, an effective communicator, and has experience or a strong appreciation for the boating lifestyle and products. Understand and craft unique strategies for each boat brand recognizing the brand equity and product segmentation of each. Identify trends early and assess their alignment with the brand before incorporating them into the content strategy. Exhibit a strong understanding of platform dynamics by grasping how each platform disseminates content and leveraging each platform to its fullest potential. Collaborate with the marketing team and key stakeholders to maintain a well-coordinated marketing content calendar. Develop and implement creative content strategies that align with the marketing goals and product launch plans. Content Development & Execution Source and update social media content with not only planned content capture events, but also user-generated, corporate, partner, and dealer assets. Maintain cohesive pinned content, highlights, and profile aesthetics. Assist in organizing and managing a digital asset library, ensuring all materials are easily accessible to our dealer network and media partners. Help with capturing and creating content with intentionality, including Reels, Stories, short-form videos, and product features. Write captions, post copy, and responses that reflect the brand's voice and uphold our quality standards. Engagement & Reporting Leverage analytics and performance metrics to uncover opportunities and offer recommendations for data-driven insights. Monitor social media channels, responding to comments, messages, and mentions, including some oversight during weekends. Track conversion indicators: how social content connects to website traffic, inquiry form submissions, event attendance, and lead generation. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field. A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in social media management for B2C companies. Comprehensive understanding of social media platforms, including Facebook, LinkedIn, X, TikTok, and Instagram. Experience with analytics and reporting tools (e.g., Meltwater, Meta Business Suite). Knowledge of video/photo editing tools (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Final Cut Pro, or similar). Familiarity with social publishing and listening tools (e.g., Meltwater). Familiarity with basic marketing principles, including brand awareness, audience targeting, and conversion strategies. Knowledgeable with online marketing channels and tools. Exceptional multitasking and time management abilities. Strong capacity to work both independently and collaboratively within a team. Excellent writing and storytelling skills, with keen attention to detail and grammar. Experience in the boating industry is a plus.
