Join Our Team as a Travel RN - NVICU Job Description: - Are you ready to take your nursing career to new heights? - Embrace the challenge of working in a dynamic NVICU unit with 16 beds, delivering top-notch care to critically ill patients. - Experience an exciting patient ratio of 2:1, with the opportunity for 1:1 or 3:1 ratios depending on patient acuity and staffing. - Join a dedicated team supported by a unit secretary during dayshift and occasional nurse externs working as techs. - Utilize advanced medical equipment including ventilators, EVDs, CRRT, SLED, and EV 1000. - Work within the Meditech documentation system for streamlined patient care. - Enjoy a flexible scheduling system with a minimum requirement of 4 weekend shifts every 4 weeks, plus the ability to self-schedule to an extent. - Participate in a floating policy that ensures care continuity, prioritizing contract labor floating before staff. - Deliver compassionate and attentive care to patients and their families, ensuring an exceptional patient experience. Qualifications: - Must have an active RN license, along with ACLS and BLS certifications. - 2 years of ICU experience is required to ensure the highest quality of care. Advanced Skills Preferred: - Experience with procedures such as the insertion of central lines, arterial lines, lumbar punctures, chest tube insertions, and EVD insertions is highly valued.
