Facilities Maintenance Supervisor

AstraZeneca seeks a Facilities Maintenance Supervisor to oversee maintenance operations at its cell therapy manufacturing facility in Tarzana, CA. The role ensures safe, compliant, and reliable performance of critical systems supporting time-sensitive patient-specific therapies while leading maintenance teams in a highly regulated, GMP environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage and mentor maintenance technicians; conduct safety briefings, tier meetings, and shift handovers
• Execute preventive and corrective maintenance while ensuring GMP and FDA compliance across all work orders
• Investigate equipment failures using root cause analysis; implement reliability improvements to reduce downtime
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Operations to prioritize and schedule maintenance work
• Lead safety initiatives including LOTO enforcement, incident investigations, and continuous improvement projects

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• 8+ years industrial facilities maintenance and leadership experience
• 4+ years leadership experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or GMP-regulated environment
• Proficiency with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) such as SAP
• Knowledge of reliability-centered maintenance, RCA, and FMEA methodologies
• Understanding of GMP, FDA regulations, and cleanroom operations

Compensation: $89,874–$134,812 base salary
