Our strategy includes building teams across our global network to pioneer and shape the future of PCI.Summary of Objective:The Director of Security is responsible for developing and overseeing a robust security infrastructure and managing guard force operations at our Rockford and assist with security related issues at other PCI sites. This role is key to creating a comprehensive security framework that addresses the growing needs of our facilities. The Director will lead efforts to enhance security measures across access control, surveillance, guard force management, and emergency protocols, ensuring the safety of employees, assets, and company facilities.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Create and implement forward-thinking security policies and procedures that adapt to the evolving threat landscape.Collaborate with company leadership to assess and address the security needs of our sites and customers.Recommend security-related equipment and services and develop plans and budgets to meet the site’s security requirements.Oversee the ordering, installation and ongoing maintenance of all electronic security systems, including card access systems, CCTV, fire, burglar and environmental systems. Maintain proper records and ensure system updates are managed effectively. Select, manage and coordinate internal security staff and external contract security services. Ensure training, performance management/development and compliance with security protocols.Standardize processes related to visitor management, employee access control systems, investigations and security procedures to support secure and efficient site operations. Serve as the primary point of contact for security issues with DEA, coordinating with the PCI Regulatory Affairs department as necessary.Represent the company during security audits, respond to findings and follow-up actions related to PCI compliance, and address security-related questions as requested by leadership.Maintain active communication with local, law enforcement, State Police Cargo Theft Unit and the Pharmaceutical Cargo Security Coalition (PCSC) to stay informed and address security concerns.Lead investigations, conduct interviews and work the Human Resources Department when necessary to resolve security issues or concerns.Oversee background checks per customer requirements, and review new hire, agency and scheduled drug screenings and other background check procedures as needed.Administer and optimize security budgets to ensure cost effectiveness while maintaining high standards of safety and compliance. Stay current with industry trends and best practices to keep security strategies proactive and responsive to emerging threats. This position will require some travel.This position may require overtime and/or weekend work.Knowledge of and adherence to all PCI, cGMP, and GCP policies, procedures, rules.Attendance to work is an essential function of this positionPerforms other duties as assigned by Manager/Supervisor.QualificationsRequired:Bachelor's Degree in a related field and/or 7-10 years related experience and/or training.College Level Mathematical SkillsAdvanced Computer Skills: Ability to perform the most complex computer tasks and operate various computer programs. Full Professional Proficiency: Ability to speak, read, and write fluently and accurately on all levels pertinent to professional needs.Very High Reasoning: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Be able to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in math or diagram form and deal with several abstract/concrete variables.Ability to coordinate and negotiate with suppliers of security equipment and services is required.Preferred:Ability to effectively present information to various people as the job requires.Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.Ability to show success in managing employees.Ability to display a willingness to make decisions.Law Enforcement Management ExperienceExperience with the design, deployment and maintenance of key systems for large buildingsExperience with interviewing and the investigation process.#LI-LM1Join us and be part of building the bridge between life changing therapies and patients.
