Distribution Center Operations - Supervisor (North Smithfield, RI) - 2nd Shift

Position Summary The Supervisor, DC Operations will report to the Manager of DC Operations. The role serves as the front‑line connection with warehouse employees and plays a critical role in engaging and inspiring the team to meet and exceed daily targets. Shift: 2:30pm–11:30pm, Monday–Friday (2nd shift) with flexibility as needed. Operational Execution Oversee daily operations in a warehouse section, utilize reports and procedures to resolve problems and improve employee efficiency, and analyze data to recommend best practices. Assign colleagues to work areas to balance workload and meet operational metrics, collaborate with the Operations Manager to identify staffing needs, and provide regular updates on department progress. Conduct audits, maintain records, and ensure compliance with company policies, federal and state laws, and safety regulations. Colleague Experience Maintain floor presence, engage with team members, and validate execution of action items. Communicate information openly and timely, champion an “always on” engagement mindset, provide coaching and disciplinary actions, and collaborate with HR on talent management, training, and development. Promote an inclusive culture, support workforce diversity, and ensure legal compliance, including FMLA, ADA, and EEOC requirements. Conduct structured interviews and monitor staffing needs, recommending headcount as necessary. Continuous Improvement & Change Management Act as a change agent, leverage metrics to monitor improvements, and seek opportunities to drive efficiency and enhance colleague experience. Provide constructive feedback on initiatives, remove implementation barriers, and gather regular feedback from colleagues to inform future changes. Required Qualifications 1+ year experience with Microsoft Office 1+ year experience in a distribution center or similar environment 1+ year experience in a leadership role Preferred Qualifications Ability to work multiple shifts or departments Maintains strict confidentiality Strong written and verbal communication skills Judgment and independence with minimal supervision Ability to act quickly and competently in emergencies Education Verifiable High School Diploma/GED required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Pay Range $43,888.00 – $93,574.00 (base salary, subject to experience, education, geography, and other factors). Eligible for bonus, commission, or short‑term incentive programs.
