Pay Rate:
$2236 weekly ($27.5/hr w2 + $1246/week stipend)

Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Travel RN – Medical Surgical for a night shift contract in Columbia, MO . This is a 3x12-hour night shift (7:00 PM–7:30 AM) with a block Monday–Thursday schedule . The unit cares for orthopedic, trauma, ortho spine, medicine, and plastics patients with a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio . First-time travelers are welcome to apply.

Duties

• Provide direct nursing care to adult and geriatric Med/Surg patients.
• Care for post-operative orthopedic, trauma, spine, medicine, and plastics patients.
• Administer medications, IV therapy, blood products, and oxygen therapy.
• Start and maintain IVs, manage PICC lines, and perform telemetry monitoring.
• Perform wound care, ostomy care, and post-surgical patient management.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and float to other units as needed.
• Work every other weekend and 50% of contract holidays.

Requirements

• Active RN license.
• Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg RN experience (2 years preferred).
• Trauma Level II experience required.
• BLS required; ACLS preferred.
• First-time travelers accepted.
• Experience with telemetry, IV therapy, PICC lines, blood product administration, wound care, orthopedic and trauma patients.
• Ability to lift 20+ lbs and work in a fast-paced acute care environment.
• No local candidates within 50 miles.
