Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) for a 13-week position with rotating shifts. This role guarantees 36 hours per week with the possibility of working up to 40 hours, incorporating a mix of 8-, 10-, or 12-hour shifts based on department needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in the operating room, assisting the surgical team with various procedures.
• Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to infection control standards.
• Collaborate with surgical staff to ensure patient safety and efficient workflow.
• Monitor patient vitals and respond promptly to any changes during procedures.
• Document patient care and surgical procedures accurately and timely.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of recent Operating Room experience.
• Required case experience includes General, Orthopedic, Neurology, Urology, Robotics (Da Vinci), and Vascular.
• Preferred case experience includes ENT, Plastics, GYN, and Eyes.
• Active RN license in Hawaii.
• Current AHA BLS and AHA ACLS certifications.

Credentials

The following credentials are required for onboarding:

• Active Hawaii RN License
• AHA BLS and AHA ACLS certifications
• MMR and Tuberculosis (TB) test results
• Hepatitis B vaccination record
• Influenza vaccination record
• Varicella vaccination record
• Tdap vaccination record

Additional Information

In addition to the above, selected candidates will need to submit to drug screening, background checks, and provide professional references. All necessary documents related to credentials and health history will be collected during the onboarding process.
