Security / Loss Prevention Officer

Job Skills / Requirements Immediate Opening for a Full-Time Loss Prevention Officer - $21/Hr Job Description Identify and apprehend shoplifters through floor patrol and the use of CCTV cameras. Report writing. Interacting with local law enforcement as needed. Provide courtroom testimony as required. Job Requirements Pre-Employment criminal background check and drug screening. Must be able to get license through Columbia PD. Ability to sit, stand, and walk for up to 3–4 hours at a time. Reliable transportation. Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently. Ability to communicate clearly and accurately through verbal and written means. Ability to write legible, accurate, and easily understood reports. Must be assertive, yet controlled in dealing with confrontation. Must be trustworthy and able to work under little or no direct supervision. Attendance for scheduled shifts. Tardiness and absenteeism is not tolerated. Previous loss prevention or law enforcement experience is a plus but not a requirement. Criminal justice or related studies a plus – high school diploma or equivalent (minimum).
