SURESTAFF is immediately hiring a Utility Worker for a large, well-known client in Itasca, IL. As a Utility Worker for SURESTAFF you will be an essential part of our client’s core operations. SURESTAFF is invested in their team members! All temp-to-hire employees are offered competitive compensation ($16/hr) as well as a benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, and vision). All available shifts include: 10am-6:30pm

Utility Worker Duties and Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain floors, aisles, and loading docks. Remove trip hazards, clear debris, and manage waste disposal.
• Handle, store, and track non-inventory goods such as pallets, bubble wrap, tape, and cleaning supplies.
• Assist with moving heavy equipment, staging materials, and occasionally operating manual pallet jacks.
• Monitor and replenish utility and packaging supplies across various packing stations and departments.
• Adhere to all OSHA and company health and safety regulations. Report any building maintenance issues (e.g., lighting, plumbing) to the supervisor.
• Support receiving, stocking, and shipping teams with physical labor as needed to ensure smooth daily operations.

Utility Worker Requirements and Qualifications

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
• Attention to detail to keep storage areas tidy and maintain organized supplies.
• Basic verbal and written skills to coordinate with different departments and report issues.
• Willingness to work in varying temperatures and adapt to the fast-paced, changing needs of the warehouse.
