Strong Memorial Hospital is seeking experienced Neurology Registered Nurses to join Unit 516, a specialized neuroscience unit caring for patients with complex neurological disorders. This is an outstanding opportunity to work at a nationally recognized academic medical center and Comprehensive Stroke Center while gaining exposure to advanced neurological care.

The unit specializes in caring for patients with acute and chronic neurological conditions and is home to the region's only Level 4 Epilepsy Monitoring Unit .

Advanced Neurology Services

• Joint Commission Accredited Comprehensive Stroke Center
• Level 4 Epilepsy Monitoring Unit
• Continuous Video EEG Monitoring
• Multidisciplinary Neurology Team
• Advanced Seizure Evaluation and Treatment

Core Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive neurological nursing care
• Perform ongoing neurological assessments
• Monitor telemetry patients
• Recognize and respond to neurological changes
• Care for stroke and seizure patients
• Collaborate with neurologists and interdisciplinary teams
• Support patients undergoing continuous EEG monitoring
• Deliver patient and family education

Requirements

Experience

• Minimum 2 Years RN Experience
• Telemetry Experience Required
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
• Experience with neurological patients preferred

License Requirement

• Active New York RN License ONLY

Certifications Required

• BLS

Highly Preferred

• NIHSS Certification
