Laborer

Monday-Friday 8:00am – 4:30pm Pay rate: $19.00 per hour Staffworks is currently seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Laborer for Heat Treating for a manufacturing facility in Oriskany, NY. This position is ideal for candidates with prior manufacturing experience who are comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment. Required Qualifications Ability to read and understand work instructions Experience using measuring instruments Previous manufacturing experience required Ability to operate a forklift and successfully obtain forklift certification Strong attention to detail Ability to multitask efficiently Ability to lift to 50 lbs Essential Responsibilities Operate heat treating furnaces Set and regulate temperature controls on steel treating furnaces Inspect parts for foreign material and properly position parts on racks Load furnaces and monitor heating cycles to ensure proper timing and temperature Remove heated parts from furnaces and place into water or oil baths for quenching Buff, sand, or polish finished parts as needed Operate a forklift to maneuver and stage materials and finished parts What’s in it for You?
