Shift Supervisor

We are looking for an individual to join our team as a Shift Supervisor in Moorhead, MN. The purpose of this position is to direct the process and maintenance activities during the assigned shift and to optimize processing operations in a manner that produces quality products at the lowest unit cost. During non-processing times, the Shift Supervisor directs and assists in the mechanical repair of equipment as well as the installation of capital equipment. Must work 12 hour rotating shifts.

The principal accountabilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

• Lead and promote a positive work culture through Company Values of Safety, Integrity, Quality, Teamwork, and Accountability.
• Produces a quality product with minimal waste of product or resources, while complying with all company and regulatory standards and specifications.
• Ensures maximum factory output through efficient factory operation.
• Ensures all safety, sanitation, process accounting, product quality, environmental, and staffing functions comply with company policy and procedures.
• Conducts observational safety assessments/walk around, enforces safety work rules and ensures shift safety meetings are conducted in a meaningful and timely manner.
• Communicates clearly and effectively with crew on process and labor-management topics.
• Identifies sugar beet delivery issues and works with the Agriculture Department to address such issues.
• Ensures maintenance, quality control, and shipping functions are performing within established guidelines.

To be successful in this position requires knowledge of the sugar beet refining process, mechanical, planning and computer skills, and knowledge of product quality standards, HACCP, sanitation procedures, good manufacturing practices, environmental and OSHA compliance, together with strong leadership and interpersonal skills. These skills are normally obtained through a four year degree in management, engineering, business or other related fields and/or a minimum of 5 to 7 years of sugar beet and/or related food processing experience.

Compensation Range: $108,102.04 - $135,127.55 Annual Salary
