Summary About the Position: This position is being recruited for Falls Church, VA. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Responsibilities Perform financial management functions and recommends decision alternatives that affect financial and budgetary operations. Conduct independent analyses and interpretation of the impact of new legislation on regional resource requirements. Interpret and analyze hea1th-related Planning, Programming, and Budgeting System (PPBS) activities as they apply to the provision of healthcare. Provide expert advice and assistance in the development of budgetary plans. Evaluate the business plan's execution performance by monitoring appropriate metrics and determining reasons for variances from planned execution. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes reviewing program budgets to ensure command objectives are met; analyzing past and current financial reports to establish future budget plans; and assisting with policy development. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
