Inventory & Procurement Analyst

We are seeking a talented Inventory & Procurement Analyst to join our team. The Inventory & Procurement Analyst is responsible for the following:

Provide support to the Material Planners in the establishment and maintenance of planning parameters, including supplier lead time, minimum order quantities, and safety stock. Monitor settings to ensure effectiveness.

Extract data from operating systems for inventory- and procurement-focused analysis.

Analyze data, make recommendations, and facilitate the resolution of issues and implementation of process improvements.

Prepare, analyze, and publish department metrics.

Assist in the implementation of any materials management systems.

Other duties as assigned

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Operations or similar.

Minimum two years' experience in an analytical role, in supply chain or operations. Experience in a distribution environment a plus.

Thorough understanding of Materials Management operational concepts: scheduling, procurement, and inventory control.

Advanced-level user of Excel, minimum of intermediate level in Access.

Certification such as CPIM or CSCP strongly preferred.

Familiarity with ISO9000 and continuous improvement initiatives such as Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing and JIT desirable.

Demonstrate attention to detail, be able to prioritize multiple tasks, easily adapt to changing situations, and work well under pressure with little direct supervision.

Have strong interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work in teams with members from various disciplines.

Possess strong analytical and problem-solving ability. Able to successfully manage large and complex data sets.

Be legally authorized to work in the US.
