Job Description Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) at BioLife Plasma Services, reporting to the Plasma Center Manager. Supports plasma center operations and ensures donor safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, AIDS education and confidential self-exclusion, medical history interview and acceptance requirements, physical examination, blood testing, and review of Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE). Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies in accordance with SOPs and Center Physician standing orders; coordinate donor transport to emergency care facilities when needed. Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for guidance on medical or technical issues, donor safety, and eligibility. Support vaccination programs (Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu) for employees as applicable. Manage employee incidents and determine whether further evaluation is required by occupational health/ER; follow EHS guidance for incidents. Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and assist investigations related to pandemic threats as indicated by EHS or Medical Affairs. What you bring to Takeda High school diploma or equivalent; graduate of a recognized educational nursing program with state requirements. Currently licensed or certified in the state of responsibilities: LPN or LVN. Current CPR and AED certification. Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy (in-state licensure). Satisfactorily complete the FDA-approved training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist. Two years of clinical or hospital setting experience. For Location: USA - IN - Kokomo. U.S. Hourly Wage Range: $24.32 - $33.44. The actual wage depends on qualifications, experience, skills, education, certifications, licenses, and location.
