Material HandlerThe Material Handler plays a key role in supporting warehouse operations by safely moving, loading, and unloading materials throughout the facility. This position requires regular lifting, pushing, and pulling of up to 50 pounds, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a clean, organized, and professional work environment. You will work closely with a small team to support shipping, kitting, and general material handling activities in an air-conditioned warehouse.ResponsibilitiesLift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds regularly throughout the workday to move materials and products safely and efficiently.Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring materials are handled carefully and placed in the correct locations.Support general warehouse activities, including material handling, kitting, shipping, and general labor tasks as needed.Follow established procedures for handling, storing, and staging materials to maintain organization and workflow.Work collaboratively with a team of material handlers to meet daily operational goals and production needs.Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area in compliance with workplace safety standards.Demonstrate positive attitude and professional conduct when interacting with team members and other departments.Use material handling equipment safely; operate a forklift if trained and authorized (forklift experience is a plus but not required).Participate in overtime work when needed, including some Saturdays and occasional additional hours, while supporting the team's workload.Essential SkillsAbility to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds regularly throughout the day.Ability to safely load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments.Experience with material handling, warehouse work, or general labor in a similar environment.Ability to support kitting and shipping activities within a warehouse setting.Demonstrated positive attitude and professional conduct in the workplace.Reliability and willingness to work assigned shifts and occasional overtime, including some Saturdays.Ability to work effectively as part of a small team in a fast-paced environment.Additional Skills & QualificationsForklift experience is a plus but not required.Prior experience in shipping, kitting, or general warehouse operations is beneficial.Comfort working in a structured environment that may include special attire such as gloves, shoe covers, and hair nets for certain areas.Flexibility to volunteer for additional hours when the workload is high.Why Work Here?You will join a busy, growing operation with a fun, supportive culture and great hours, where strong performers have a clear path from contract-to-hire to permanent employment. The dress code is casual for day-to-day work, with occasional requirements to wear specific attire such as gloves, shoe covers, and hair nets when entering an air lock room or controlled areas. The position offers multiple shifts: a first shift typically running from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and a second shift typically running from 1:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Some Saturdays and additional hours may be required, with many overtime opportunities offered on a voluntary basis, though candidates should remain open to working some extra hours as needed.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Austin, TX.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.50 - $20.87/hr.Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
