Pediatric Dental HygienistWe are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join a well-established pediatric dental practice. The ideal candidate is dependable, energetic, detail-oriented, and passionate about helping young patients develop healthy oral health habits and positive relationships with dental care.As a Dental Hygienist, you will provide preventive dental care and oral health education while working closely with the pediatric dentist and clinical team. You will play an important role in helping children establish healthy habits while creating a positive and comfortable dental experience.Your responsibilities will include:Provide thorough dental cleanings and preventive hygiene services for pediatric patientsPerform patient assessments and document oral health findingsTake dental X-rays as permitted by applicable state regulations and practice protocolsApply fluoride and dental sealants as directed and permitted by applicable state regulationsEducate children and parents on proper brushing, flossing, nutrition, and preventive oral health careProvide age-appropriate oral hygiene instruction tailored to each patient's needsHelp children feel comfortable, calm, and engaged throughout their visitCommunicate clinical findings and patient concerns to the dentist and clinical teamMaintain accurate and complete patient records and documentationFollow sterilization, infection control, OSHA, HIPAA, and other applicable safety standardsMaintain a clean, organized, and properly stocked treatment areaSupport efficient patient flow and daily clinical operationsParticipate in team meetings, training, and continuing education opportunitiesPreferred Qualifications:Active Dental Hygienist license in accordance with applicable state requirementsGraduate of an accredited dental hygiene programCurrent CPR/BLS certification as requiredPrevious pediatric dental experience preferredExperience working with children and families is a plusStrong knowledge of preventive dental care and patient educationExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environmentWhat Makes You Successful:You are compassionate, patient-focused, and comfortable working with children of varying ages and comfort levels.
