Schedule: PRN Shift: 24 Hours (United States of America) Address: 13100 FORT KING RD City: DADE CITY State: Florida Postal Code: 33525 Job Description: Shift: To help cover call, time off, holidays, and some Saturdays Ensures exam rooms are clean, stocked, and ready for use, and that all equipment undergoes routine cleaning and safety checks.

• Notifies appropriate personnel when inventory is low.
• Educates patients and family members about MRI procedures, contrast use, and safety precautions, promoting comfort and cooperation throughout the exam.
• Positions patients accurately and comfortably using appropriate immobilization and coil placement techniques to ensure high-quality imaging.
• Prepares and administers IV contrast material following safety guidelines and monitors patients for adverse reactions.
• Performs and documents daily system quality control (QC) checks in compliance with departmental policies and regulatory requirements.
• Follows department protocols for patient identification, informed consent, and time-out procedures prior to starting exams.
• Maintains accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR) and PACS systems.
• Performs high-quality MRI examinations in accordance with physician orders and departmental protocols to ensure diagnostic image quality and patient safety.
• Reviews patient history and clinical information to confirm exam appropriateness and identify potential contraindications (e.g., implanted devices, metal, claustrophobia, contrast allergies).
• Screens all patients, staff, and equipment for MRI safety compliance per facility policy and current safety standards, including completion of required screening documentation.
• Operates all imaging equipment safely and properly, including scanners, injectors, and monitors, adapting protocols for patients of all ages.
• Other duties as assigned.

• General physics and anatomy [Preferred]
• Experience/knowledge of computers/networking [Required]
• Ability to quickly learn and follow departmental policies and procedures [Required]
• Maintain responsibility for all Hospital continuing and annual education [Required]
• Must maintain all required registries and licenses to perform imaging procedures [Required]

Education:

• Associate [Preferred]
• High School Grad or Equiv [Required]

Work Experience: • 1+ years experience in radiology and completion of MRI training program [Preferred] Additional Information: Additional Licensure or certification requirements may apply depending on the specific unit or state in which this position is located.
