Staff Physician, Ophthalmology Specialty in Oculoplastics (part-time)

Ophthalmologist Position

The Department of Ophthalmology and Doheny Eye Center at UCLA are seeking a junior to mid-level Ophthalmologist to support the Doheny Eye Center in Fountain Valley, at 40% time.

Patient Care Services Include:

• Clinical Evaluations: Conduct comprehensive examinations for patients with ophthalmic disease focusing on periorbital diseases, ptosis, thyroid eye disease, and facial trauma.
• Reconstructive Surgery: Perform complex surgeries such as entropion/ectropion corrections, orbital decompressions, socket reconstruction, and tear duct (dacryocystorhinostomy) procedures.
• Cosmetic Procedures: Execute functional and cosmetic blepharoplasty, brow lifts, and aesthetic facial injections (e.g., Botox, dermal fillers).
• Patient Care: Develop personalized treatment plans, manage pre-operative and post-operative care, and order diagnostic tests like CT or MRI scans.

This range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions. Salary offers are determined based on candidate qualifications and experience. The full salary range for this position is $142,100$348,100 annual base salary.

Required Qualifications:

• MD or DO
• Board-eligible or board-certified in Ophthalmology
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited ophthalmology residency
• Active/Eligible California medical license
• Advanced microsurgical skills, an in-depth understanding of the periorbital anatomy, and high aesthetic precision
