SAP Job Function Supply Chain Last Review February 2026 Job Summary The Process Operator position is responsible for functions associated with inbound bulk ingredient unloading (receiving) and mill room (batching). Principal Duties And Responsibilities Unloaded trucks and rail cars and perform inventory movements Perform all shift documentation for quality purposes Obtain ingredient samples and bin measurements Must be forklift certified or have the ability to qualify Understand production schedules, computer systems, work instructions and inventory procedures to ensure accurate reporting Communicate to ensure materials are replenished in a timely manner Accurately perform quality checks and complete documentation without error Maintain a safe and clean work area Maintains accurate records of QC checks, production numbers or waste performance Demonstrates high degree of ownership for product quality Performs all standard quality checks & other quality related duties Ability to understand production schedules, production computer systems, work instructions and production inventories Other duties and responsibilities as assigned This is not an exhaustive list of duties or functions. Education / Experience Requirements Basic qualifications include High School Diploma or equivalent Must be willing and able to work and accept varying shifts and schedules Ability to understand and effectively communicate in the English language Preferred qualifications include 3+ years of experience in a food manufacturing environment 2 years of work experience within manufacturing Working knowledge of food safety practices Computer Experience Knowledge of inventory control principles Expected Areas Of Skills Ability to follow instructions Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills; ability to communicate and express ideas with team members Knowledge of and compliance with Safety, GMP’s, and environmental procedures and regulations Basic computer skills ( ability to access, input, and retrieve information ) Ability to Read/Write/Speak and understand English Ability to be flexible regarding work schedules and shift rotations (including nights, weekends, and holidays) Ability to work in a standard manufacturing environment Physical Requirements Ability to work in an environment that has a wide range of temperature, variation, and humidity Lift varied capacities over the following time periods Lift and carry 65 pounds repeatedly in an 8 or 12 hour period Push and pull 50 pounds repeatedly in an 8 or 12 hour period. Objects being lifted weigh up to 50 pounds include bags of raw materials and performing changeovers on equipment. Consequences of not being able to lift these bags include not being able to run the needed products / diets. This could result in a significant risk to our customers and brand Climb ladders and stairs Work on overhead equipment Walk unlimited distances every work day. Push or pull 800 pound totes on wheels across a cement surface 8 to 24 times for 8 hours Work with hands overhead occasionally Bend at waist 90 degrees and flex at knees 120 degrees 100+ times for 8 hours.
